The Chicago-based Coalition for Immigrant Mental Health (CIMH) aims to foster a collaborative, community-based and research-informed initiative that is a partnership between individuals regardless of immigration status, mental health practitioners, community organizers, researchers, advocates, and allies. As Co-Founder of CIMH, Dr. Ferrera will discuss the impetus of its formation and the ways in which the coalition collectively works to promote awareness of, and access to, culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health services through education, advocacy and resource sharing on behalf of immigrants and their families.
Join us for a conversation with CIMH Co-Chair and DePaul University Professor, Maria Ferrera.
