Who We Are
We recognize that it is not enough to only study inequities in health. The Center is concerned with action. As reflected in our founding principle, “it is not enough to identify a problem and then do nothing to fix it”.

Join us in welcoming our new Graduate Student Worker to the team!
CCHE Graduate Student Worker
Taylor comes to us from Arizona where she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Arizona and obtained a B.S. in Biological Anthropology. Currently, Taylor is a second year graduate student attending DePaul’s Master of Public Health program with a concentration in Social Epidemiology. As a woman of color, Taylor is deeply invested in promoting racial/ethnic health equity for communities of color in the Chicagoland area with particular interest in child and maternal health.
While Taylor’s contributions to the center involve mostly administrative assistance, she is also involved with the Discovery core of CCHE. At present, Taylor is contributing to research projects investigating existing literature regarding health syndemics in Chicago and interventions to promote health equity in Chicago. Ultimately, Taylor strives to establish and advance standard measurements for structural racism in health contexts.
