On April 9, 2025, the Center for Community Health Equity proudly hosted an in-person Youth Mental Health First Aid (2nd Edition) training at DePaul University. The session was led by Dr. Raj C. Shah, Co-Director of the Center, and brought together community members, students, and professionals committed to supporting youth mental health.

The training equipped participants with vital knowledge and tools to recognize early signs of mental health challenges among young individuals. Through real-world scenarios and guided discussions, attendees gained practical strategies to offer timely and effective support to youth navigating mental health struggles.

This hands-on session created a space for learning, collaboration, and empowerment reinforcing our commitment to building a healthier and more informed community.
