Overview and Bio of the Steans-CCHE Community-Engaged Health Equity Focused Faculty Fellowship

Sonya Crabtree-Nelson

Sonya is the head of Injury and Strangulation in the Swedish Hospital Emergency Department with a focus on domestic violence patients before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Sonya works on the community-engaged project with the community partner Pathways program at Swedish Hospital and examines the health disparities that exist for patients with a history of intimate partner violence (IPV) who exhibit symptoms of brain injury.
